HATCX Selects InstaMed to Power the Consumer Health Care Payments Experience

We’re excited to announce that we’ve selected InstaMed to power the payments portion of our app, HATCX | cost. Users will soon be able to pay their health care bills using a digital wallet, and providers will receive the payments through the InstaMed Network.

Why This Matters
At HATCX, our goal is to make the consumer’s experience full circle—from finding a doctor, to scheduling an appointment, paying claims and rating the overall experience. As health care costs continue to rise, consumers are not only seeing the impact on their household budget, they are also looking for help navigating health care payments. According to the “Trends in Healthcare Payments Eighth Annual Report,” 71 percent of consumers want to be able to pay all of their health care bills in one place. Our app, HATCX | cost, meets this demand and will allow health plans to increase member engagement.

“We are extremely excited about our collaboration with InstaMed,” said HATCX Partner, Christina Ochsner. “The purpose of our app is to make health care easier to navigate. Allowing consumers to pay providers at the touch of a button is another step toward that goal.”

Digital Wallet
Another cool feature: Users will be able to store all of their payment methods including credit and debit cards, bank accounts and health benefit accounts in their digital wallet on InstaMed. Additionally, consumers will be able to access their payment history 24/7 and download transaction information for household finance activities like tax preparation.

“HATCX is transforming the way consumers interact with their health care,” said Dan Archuleta, vice president of innovation at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska. “The ability to easily pay medical expenses through the app is another way we are simplifying health care.”

“We are thrilled that HATCX has selected InstaMed to deliver a consumer-centric health care payments experience,” said Bill Marvin, President and CEO of InstaMed. “Seamless payment experiences in other industries are creating strong consumer demand for a better health care payments experience.”

The payment feature of our app will be available toward the end of 2018. Stay tuned!
